Nylon 6.6 is a type of polyamide which is made from two monomers each containing 6 carbon atoms, hexamethylenediamine and adipic acid. Its an engineering plastic raw material known for its strength, thermal stability and stiffness.
About
Product

-
High tensile strength : Its tightly packed crystalline formation makes the product stiff and provides it with strength to resist deformation.
-
Abrasion and Wear resistance : It exhibits exceptional abrasion resistance and friction resistance properties making it suitable for application in automotive industry.
-
High Melting point : Its melting point is around 265 degree Celsius, higher than Nylon 6, which supports its application in high-temperature environments .
-
Heat Deflection Temperature (HDT) : For unreinforced Nylon 6.6 granules HDT is up to 95 degree Celsius. However, for glass filled granules have high HDT which is around 250 degree Celsius.
-
High Moisture Absorption : The fiber exhibits high water absorption in comparison to Nylon 6 however it may impact its dimension stability and insulation properties.
-
Chemical resistance : It is resistant to hydrocarbons , oils, greases, acids and alkalis except for a few strong ones.
-
Electrical Insulation : It possesses excellent electrical insulation properties, making it suitable for use in connectors and housings.
