Flame Retardant : It is nonflammable as it self extinguishes itself when it is exposed to flames.

High Temperature Stability : It can withstand temperature as high 220 degree Celsius without losing it's strength.

Corrosion resistance : It is resistant to acids and alkalis except for few strong ones.

High Elongation : It's low stiffness and semi crystalline structure gives it a soft textile structure making it suitable for designing protective gears.

Moderate Strength : In comparison to para-aramid, meta-aramid is less strong due to it's semi crystalline structure.
